The Field Trip committee focuses on bringing people out to the coast to engage with and experience the ocean. We work to get people thinking about, talking about, engaging with, and inspired by the ocean through personal experience and learning by seeing and doing. We've had behind-the-scene tours of the Oregon Coast Aquarium and NOAA research vessels. We explored the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, learning about dune ecology. On a minus tide morning we examined the rocky intertidal zone. We hope to tour the Seafood Lab in Astoria, hike Cascade Head, and explore wherever our club members want to venture.
